Home birth

I really want to have this baby at home. After travelling in a car in transition and then going home quickly after I just can't see the point of the hospital.
I got a phone call form some home birth midwives and they are going to see if anyone is near enough to me to help out. The lady I spoke to thought I may be too far away for them. I really hope I can stay at home.
It would be great for the kids to be involved in the birth, maybe not all the gory bits but to be in the room when baby is just born would be fantastic. How exciting for everyone to be all together.
It just seems right to be somewhere that you are comfortable and familiar with.
