A new day

Its a new morning and the first day of school holidays. Most parents dread this time and desperately try to organize activities to fill up the kids days. I just can't understand it. Have children lost the ability to self entertain???? We used to play for hours outside and never seemed to run out of ideas when we were kids.

For me, I look forward to the holidays. It is a time where I do not have to teach in the mornings and the kids love the freedom of doing their own thing.

We have recently sold our T.V and it has made such a difference to our children's behavior. Their imagination has gone wild and its great to see them having some great old fashioned fun.

In regards to the pregnancy, I feel pretty good this morning. I have had no morning sickness or nausea at this stage but realize it is only early days. I have usually ended up very good friends with the toilet bowl whilst pregnant but who knows, this time may be different.
